Healthy Snacks for Busy Professionals That Are Filling and Energizing

Finding good-tasting, easy-to-reach, and healthy snacks is difficult if you don’t know where to look. As a nutritionist for working professionals, one of the most commonly asked questions I get is what are healthy snacks for busy professionals that keep people energized and feeling good all day? Below I will outline a list of a few of my favorite snacks that are not only delicious and easy but will keep you full longer than your traditional bag of chips or cookies.

6 Healthy Snacks for Busy Professionals You Should Definitely Try!

  1. Yogurt Parfait

A yogurt parfait is one of the best snacks because it is packed with protein from the yogurt, healthy fats from added nuts (if desired), and fiber from good whole grains and fruits! To maximize the simplicity of this snack, grab a pack of 6 yogurts from the store (ex. Siggi’s, Icelandic Provisions, Chobani), a bag of your favorite granola (try to include nuts or seeds in it if this is something you like), and some fresh or frozen fruit!

2. Apple + Almond Butter

Not only will you get the delicious, good fats from the almond butter, but it also carries a few grams of protein! The apple is a great source of fiber and carbohydrates if you feel like you’re feeling a little sleepy. To make this snack easy, chop up an apple and measure about 2 tbsp of almond butter before you leave for the day.

3. Veggies + Hummus + Seed Crackers

This snack carries good nutrients from the veggies (carrots, snap peas, celery, bell peppers), the hummus, and the seed crackers! It is not only good for you, but it tastes delicious. Make sure to prep some sliced veggies before you leave so you can grab and go!

4. Trail Mix

Trail mix is a super simple and easy snack. You can make your own with your favorite mixed nuts and dried fruit or choose a pre-made version. Just try to choose lightly salted nuts.

5. Cheese Slices, Mixed Veggies, and Seed Crackers

Like the hummus and crackers, this snack is a great way to add more veggies to your diet. Choose your favorite cheese, veggies, and some good seed crackers for the maximum nutrients!

6. Boiled Eggs

Eggs are a great source of protein and fat, so by prepping some eggs at the beginning of the week, you can have a delicious and nutritious snack! Try adding salt, pepper, and hot sauce to give it even more flavor.
